Not sure if croquet is the sport for you? Please join us on Saturday 5 April 2025 for our spring open day. From 10am to 3pm we will have members available at our lawn to show how the game is played and let you have a go. We will be focusing on Golf Croquet, which is very easy for beginners to pick up. Tea and biscuits will be on offer

If you missed the Spring Open Day, and even if you’ve never set foot on a croquet lawn, just come along any Monday or Thursday at 2pm when we have roll-up sessions when anyone can turn up and get a game. Look in any time during the season when somebody’s playing so you see what the game is like.
We provide all the equipment so that you can try the game easily. One of our members will give you a round so that you can see what fun it is. You just need to wear some flat-soled shoes and we’ll have you playing really quickly.
Bring a friend, bring your family, or just arrive by yourself. You’ll be sure of a friendly welcome, and croquet is fun. Mind you, once you have played a few games it begins to challenge you, so prepare to get hooked.
To try your hand at any other time, just call the Secretary, who will arrange to meet you at the club and introduce you, your friends and family to the game. To get in touch, click ‘Contact Us’ in the main menu.
